I am ... I said es el nombre de una de las más bellas canciones de Neil Diamond. Fue compuesta a fines de los 60's, y trata sobre la historia de un hombre que nació en un lugar pero que vive en otro, y eso lo divide entre los dos lugares, sin sentirse realmente perteneciente a ninguno de ellos:

Nací y me crié en Nueva York
Pero ahora estoy perdido entre dos orillas
Los Angeles es hermoso, pero no es mi hogar
Mi hogar está en Nueva York, pero ya no es mío ...

El video de más abajo, fue grabado en Inglaterra el año 1971, pocos meses antes que se grabara el album Noche Cálidad de Agosto (Hot August Night), en Los Angeles, el año 1972. La versión de Noche Cálida, es quizás la mejor versión que se ha grabado de esta canción; pero no existe un registro en video de ese recital, por lo que el video de YouTube sirve como consuelo para los que admiran a Neil Diamond, sobre todo, al Diamond de los 70's.
